Ubisoft Forward isn’t happening this year

This year is rife with announcements and events closely bundled together, from Summer Game Fest, the Xbox Games Show, the State of Play today, the IOI Showcase, and more all packed into just this month. But, one event that is not happening is a Ubisoft Forward.

Stephen Totilo of Game File shares on Bluesky that a company rep told him that they are “always eager to connect with our players and showcase our games.” Totilo, alongside ourselves, suspects Ubi just doesn’t have the lineup to sustain an whole showcase. Instead, it’s gonna attend events like IGN Live and PC Gaming Show later this month.

Ubisoft Forward, which has been a digital and in-person showcase for the company's games just about every June, isn't happening this year.A company rep tells me Ubisoft will participate in IGN Live (June 7-8) and PC Gaming Show (June 8) and will also be at GamesCom

Arguably, the biggest thing Ubi’s got going for it is Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ Claws of Iwaji DLC. But, it does have other stuff like The Division Resurgence, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, Anno 117: Pax Romana, and more in the pipeline.

Out of pure speculation, it’s all-too-possible Ubi will announce the rumored Switch 2 port of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was leaked by PEGI back in April.
