New AAA Rayman game is in the works

A new AAA Rayman game is in the works over at Mario + Rabbids’ Ubisoft Milan. This is the first time it’s made true to its word of bringing the character back from the IP graveyard since the announcement last year.

A job ad (via VGC) for the French company’s Milan studio called for a 3D gameplay animator who would be responsible for the quality and content of animation within the gameplay of a AAA entry to the legacy gaming mascot. Alongside the Milan branch, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown developer, Ubisoft Montpellier, is joining forces to bring the brand back from the dead.

“Ubisoft Milan is seeking a talented 3D Gameplay Animator to be involved in the production of a prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and content of gameplay animation assets align with the game’s vision.”

Beyond just seeking a gameplay animator, it’s anyone’s guess as to what this new Rayman game could be about or how it would play outside of it being in the third dimension.
