Unexpected horror hit MiSide dev considering its future

The unexpected hit, MiSide, which hit Steam earlier this month, turned into a certified success, sparking over 40,000 reviews, 98% of which are positive. With the simple concept of a digital waifu sometimes looking at ending your existence, it’s kind of obvious how it found its way to being viral.

The success of the game, though, came as a surprise to developer Aihasto, which takes to Steam to note it never expected MiSide to gain such popularity. Because of it, though, it’s considering the future of the game as well as further polishing it. More details on that will be revealed “as they are available.”

“Before the game’s release, we never expected MiSide to be so popular. We are very grateful to every player who supports us! In addition to continuing to polish the game and produce the planned content, we will also carefully consider future plans, which will cover all aspects of the game, both inside and outside the game. We will share new plans with everyone as soon as they are available!”

Frankly, it’s not that shocking to see an indie horror with an anime aesthetic hit such solid numbers, but it is impressive how it’s not even been a full month since its debut and it’s already making waves. We’re sure whatever Aihasto has in store will bring in more players, as well.
