Check out the new Donkey Kong Country Returns HD trailer

In less than a month, the Donkey Kong Country Returns HD remaster is heading our way. To celebrate, Nintendo shared the opening of the game.

Shared on YouTube, the new showcase is the opening of the enhanced port of the 2010 Wii classic. This one clearly shows more in terms of the game’s story and snappier take on the section.

Prior showcases included a look at stuff like Modern Mode, which was introduced in the 3DS port. Modern Mode aided players who felt the game was a little more than a tad challenging and want to mitigate that. For those who want that same level of challenge, though, you could always play Classic Mode.

Right now, the game’s pre-orders are available on the eShop.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD releases on January 16, 2025 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
