SelectaPlay shows off physical editions of 80s-inspired Narita Boy

European retailers are about to get a little more 80s flair on the shelves, as 80s-inspired Retrovania Narita Boy releases a physical edition in early 2024. The award-winning debut game of Studio Koba will come in two different boxed PS4 and Nintendo Switch editions that will come with all sorts of goodies.

A recent press release indicates that Spain-based global publisher, SelectaPlay, has been brewing this alongside Koba and Publisher Team17 for a while now. The Standard Edition will come bundled with an exclusive artwork sleeve, a comic book based on the narrative adventure, and a physical copy of the game.

Meanwhile, Narita Boy’s Collector’s Edition is only for those really looking for the 80s vibes. It will come with the comic book and exclusive artwork sleeve from the Standard Edition, but it will also come with a Save the Arcade World pin, a sticker pack, and an artbook found within a VHS-inspired collector’s box.

The neon-soaked retrovania was released in 2021 and proved to be a fair success, so a physical edition of any game is welcome, but especially an 80s-inspired adventure. There isn’t a clear-cut release date, with SelectaPlay only giving us a broad “early 2024” release window.
