New Star Wars Jedi game in development, will be “the final chapter”

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Respawn Entertainment is working on the “final chapter” of the Star Wars Jedi saga. The series itself has apparently been played by over 40 million gamers.

During its latest financial result meeting (via VGC), EA Entertainment and Technology president, Laura Miele, revealed that Respawn is “working hard” on bringing a conclusion to Cal Kestis’ saga. The series was always envisioned as a three-game fare.

“Respawn is working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players.”

Series director, Stig Asmussen, told IGN that he hoped to make a third game as he always wanted to it see it as a trilogy. Unfortunately, this last Star Wars Jedi game won’t have his input as he left Respawn last year to form his own studio, Giant Skull.

In news related to the game series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is out now on the PS4 and Xbox One.
