Square Enix investigating Final Fantasy 16 crashing, graphics problems on PS5

Square Enix is investigating crashing and graphical issues that Final Fantasy 16 is facing on the PlayStation 5. There is no ETA on fixes at this time.

On Twitter, Square Enix addressed the issues, saying that it’s working with Sony to resolve the issues. The latest PS5 firmware update apparently borked the game for many players. This ranges from crashes to graphical issues like what’s seen on the game’s subreddit.

“Notice Regarding FF16 for PlayStation®5

Since the recent PlayStation®5 system update, there have been reports of crashes and graphics-related issues with the PlayStation®5 version of FINAL FANTASY XVI.
We are currently working with SIE to confirm the situation.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please wait for further information.”

The glitches comes as the game releases to the PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
