Light No Fire burned through over 300 logos

Hello Games’ next big title, Light No Fire, went through quite a few logos before deciding to go with the one prominently featured in the reveal trailer during The Game Awards. The logo, which definitely seethes a more fantastical aura, could’ve been replaced with some logos even insinuating its name could’ve been Light No Flame at some point in development.

Designer and Design Director at Elastic.tv Jeff Han showed off on Instagram (via 80 Level) a slurry of different logo designs he and his team came up with for the game. Among the laundry list of over 300 logos are ones even more simplistic than its final product and others that are far more vibrant. The real was largely shown off in order to hammer in just how much thought process goes into a finished logo.

Light No Fire, which continues the studio’s motif of offering an expansive open world with a lot to explore, features a lot that on paper seems in common with No Man’s Sky, but unlike the space-faring sim, it plans on multiplayer being a focus with survival elements thrown in, as players explore a procedurally generated Earth-sized planet.

At this time, the British developer hasn’t expressed when this new game will be released, but we can assume that we’ll be hearing more about it in coming months.
