Red Dead Redemption 2 sells over 65 million copies

The ever-popular Red Dead Redemption 2 has surpassed a major sales milestone, selling over 65 million copies since its debut in 2018. Meanwhile, its big brother, Grand Theft Auto 5, remains stuck at the 200 million marker, which was where it was last quarter.

Take-Two Interactive’s Q1 2025 report shows the number of sales. Within the past quarter (ending on June 30, 2024), it seems the open world cowboy game fostered a million in sales. This is in spite of stuff that sounds it’s going against it, like the shuttering of full support for Red Dead Online. That said, it’s not dead with the audience still actively engaged.

We’re sure once more comes out about GTA 6, which is poised to release next year, though, there’s speculation that’s not going to be the case, things are going to go into overdrive.
