Kojima Productions confirms Tokyo Game Show attendance

Hideo Kojima’s self-named studio, Kojima Productions, has confirmed that it’s planning on attending the Tokyo Game Show this year. It joins over 700 other game companies.

Kojima announced attendance on social media with a simple picture, no caption attached. Of course, while not confirmed, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will probably be of note with its exhibit, considering that’s his only project on record. Now, it’s worth noting that Kojima Productions plans on selling merch and goodies tied to Death Stranding and the studio as a whole, but we can’t imagine that’s all that it will be.

Another company heading to Tokyo Game Show 2024 is also PlayStation, which hasn’t been an exhibitor since 2019. It’s all too possible that Kojima Production’s booth might be more of a merch drop while PlayStation could be sharing something more about On the Beach, considering it’s the publisher.

TGS 2024 is getting closer by the day, with it kicking off on September 26 and through the 29, so there’s quite a bit of time for something big to happen relating to Kojima’s divisive, original IP.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is poised to release sometime in 2025 exclusively to the PlayStation 5.
